A Strange Day
A downloadable game for Windows
Lost somewhere, find a way to go back home.
You may not be the only one to have suffered this fate, and it is likely that you may recognize someone.
But the main question however is: what is the purpose of gathering all such personalities in this place?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Age restrictions: This game is recommended for mature audiences as it contains content that may be disturbing to some players.
***SPOILER ALERT***
The content in question consists of some dialogues of the villain character or messages reported around the map, which deal with sensitive topics, including a pandemic, the drastic choices to manage it and the death it has caused.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The game is at a good 70% of the idea I had in mind, but unfortunately due to time issues I could not delve into the dialogues and the design of the various areas, which would have given more completeness and understanding of the plot I had in mind and the connection with the proposed theme. Furthermore, the inventory bug prevents you from reading the description of the objects, which would have given a meaning to their presence and their connection to the theme.
In addition, other important parts are missing such as credits, some music and sfx. I will add everything later.
I ask you to please be patient, unfortunately having developed the game alone it got a bit out of hand.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known issues:
- I forgot to specify that dialogues require the spacebar input to advance;
- pressing I button will not show the inventory, but it will be executed by code, which will disable the input for move. Press I again to solve;
- the HUD doesn't activate when related the event happens;
- the dialogue after using the last implant installer doesn't close the DialogueBox at the end. To solve just skip it, the game allows you to progress anyway, you will just have to find alternative ways;
- a dialogue after the first checkpoint has the same problem.
Anyway if you jump to from the right corner of the step to the top-right next stepyou should not trigger this dialogue and be able to continue.
This is the only potentially blocking problem, but once overcome the game can be completed.
I'm REALLY sorry for all of this. If you encounter any of these please comment and i'll assist you.
